too much crank pressure
Anyone one have any tricks on venting the crank case on a 2000 7.3? KEEP BLOWING OUT my oil dipstick o-ring

have a vented oil cap and replaced the stock vent with a pipe adapter and ran a hose coming out under the engine compartment

How much blow by are you having? There should be no need for a second vent, and NO need to do more or blow out O rings...

not much blow by at all... but its blowing the big o-ring where it goes thru the oil pan

I dont see that happening unless you have a severe issue.
I've had a hole in a cylinder and drove the truck 20 miles... Blew the dipstick right out of the tube but no other o rings had issues.
