extra fuel pump? probably not... you're not that far above stock. mine does just fine.

No reason to install one on a 7.3... I am running two stock pumps right now but I am also running about 100% more fuel then you are.

One pump is post my water filter, and then one is after my final filter... It needs to be changed, but I have not had the time.

Should have one Pre filter and one just before the final filter.

I have a bastard fuel system right now...

ok. now when you say water filter are you talking about your airdog or? i'm assuming you don't have the factory fuel bowl. with the SD, do they have a lift pump in the fuel tank or is is there just the single pump on the frame under the drivers seat?

i run something like what csipsd is. I do not have a fuel bowl. nothing in the tank. it runs from my sump to water sep/filter to both pumps then a 2 micron filter. from there it goes to a DIY regulated return kit. one of the best things i have done to my truck and soon to do the same to my excursion.

alright. does doing the regulated return with a stock fuel system and stock injectors make a difference? right now i'm tryin to balance time and money with things i want to do. i've been looking into a airdog or fass system. but i'm not sure what i want to do yet.

IMO yes it helps. the fuel does not dead head pushing air into your injectors. it did not cost much to do and only took about 3 hours to do (that was while helping my son work on his 4 wheeler also).
