Default Well I have a heck of a grocery list

So sunday I helped a friend with a 6.4 install the dpf delete and spartan tuner. So the 4 gear burnout with a 20 thousand pound pay load struck a chord. It's time to bomb. I have a 99 7.3 made in 98 6 speed. I have a hell of a grocery list and was wondering what is the most power I can obtain before head studs how much power is considered reliable on the 7.3. I'm about to drop the idea of old technology and just go get a cummins or a 6.4. But I like my truck being as it's a 6 speed and under a hundred k and doesn't have powder rods.

Looking for mpg and power.

keep the 7.3. even if you get another truck. a 7.3 has never left me walkin. and on the 6.4 i've heard they like to blow around 80k miles. as for mods, try and get ahold of CSIPSD. he will fill your head with information. and mpg and power really don't mix it's one or the other...

See I'm hardly getting 12 miles to the gallon. And it's not powerful enough to make up for it's poor economy.

I'd be happy with 15 or 16 and a boat load of power. Or maybe a different setting for different activities. Like a towing, economy, And blow stuff up mode.

For a f250 6 speed 4wd single rear wheel day cab long bed should be better than that I'd think.

I don't even know what I should ask. The latest is it seems like it cranks over a really long time to fire. Also had a hell of a time keeping up with a 4.7 dodge pitiful....

how's your fuel filter? air filter? my pickup gets cranky if it gets anything other than shell or conoco diesel. just tell him what's going on and what he thinks it is.

if stock i suggest intake (pm me for my design) turbo back exhaust, and a ts style chip.

well that's what i get on the flats between hays and denver doin 75- 80. a few weeks ago i took a vacation to walden with the atvs. it's not a huge trailer, just a enclosed triton aluminum. well i was gettin 18 between denver and walden, thats over berthoud pass and willow creek pass. then really haulin a$$ between rand and walden. so i'm pretty confused about that.
