Default Tranny Fluid

Hello all, ? I have a 2001 Ford F-350 with the 7.3 Power Stroke Auto, I just changed the tranny fluid and filter and drained the torque converter I also installed a Mag Hytec Double-deep tranny pan ok my question is how much fluid should I be pitting back in?, I am not used to the Ford dipstick with an little round plastic piece for fluid level.. Manual says fill up to XXX marks Hot which I did but when I look at back side of dipstick there is no fluid... Any info is greatly appreciated thanks...dt

Your checking it with the truck running correct? If not it needs to be running.

If so then you need to add more.
