Removing Towhooks
I need to remove the factory towhooks on my 1999 F250. They're getting a little brown and I don't want them to rust so I'm going to paint them. Can anyone tell me how I can go about doing this?
that's easy. just 2 nuts one each side. right next to the bumper. and i would use an impact. if you have one

You need to use a good lube, not WD-40, not PB, not Marvel, use a High pressure chain lube, like what Napa carries, spray and wait 5 min, they will spin right off.
I just said the he** with it and taped it off and painted that way. It actually turned out pretty nice from the way it was before.

I know. I've found that an issue a lot here in the past few weeks. I needed to move a log out of a trail last week and was unable to because my chain wouldn't go through. I decided to just drive over it and scrapped real bad.
