How many miles on your truck? What has made you decide you have a weak injector?

i took it to my friends house, he is a diesel engineer at ford and we ran a cylinder balance test on it and 8 was running a little weak, and at one point it actually started to miss while i was hauling our tractor. it has 190000 on it and my goal is to get some more power out of it and better mileage

Better power? How much, a fresh set of OEM injectors and is chip is better power. Or throw some 400/400s in it

There's that pesky #8 again that shows up on every contribution test you'll ever do to a 7.3L.

I'm not going to try to diagnose your miss over the internet, but I think what you'll find if nothing else is that replacing the injectors will cause you to come up with a "weak" #8 again. I think your miss is stemming from something else though.

well i am going to do a compression test on it to make sure its not the rings or valve seats, but some of the symptoms my truck is having is i have lost a noticeable amount of power and my mileage has dropped from 18 city to about 12.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

more power meaning like 50 or 80 more than what i was getting before i lost it
