Default HPOP

so im wondering what the labor would be to install an hpop. its not something that i trust myself doing so im going to get it done somewhere rather than risking messing something up

so far ive gotten 1 quote from a local shop of 468.xx just to install. idk how much it normally runs but that sounds around what i would expect but like i said i really have no clue

any help would be awesome

thanks

jeremy

Depending on the labor guide used and the shop rate:

2.7 hours to 3.4 hours labor.

$60 to $120 per hour.

Its honestly a pretty easy job... The worst part is the fuel bowl, but I dont have that anymore.

If you were closer I'd throw it in for you.

noted but at the same time i know that one missed screw or one missed wire can end up killin it or the engine so its something that id rather pay for than do myself. if they mess it up and break it they pay to fix it...i break it and then my truck sits till i can fix it. as of right now i have the money to get the pump and get it put in so for my own peace of mind im gunna do it that way. dont get me wrong ill be in the shop with em watching them and learn

Nope, but they should have fuel lift pumps. At least our Fords aren't that under-engineered.

I pulled my HPOP and replaced all my o-rings, "non-serviceable" plug, put it all back together adding the Riffraff Diesel: Fuel Rail Crossover™ in the process and it took about 6 hours. I had never messed with the HPOP before, and took my time. I've put over 200 miles on it since with no issues. Just do it yourself, and take your time.

You would be suprised how easy it is to R&R the HPOP. You can always give us a call if you have any questions or issues on install.

Why are you swaping it?
