I,m wanting to get educated on 7.3 4X4 ford trucks. It appears the 1999 to 2003 7.3 is the best ford truck ever built for towing. F350 and F250 are of interest to me. No duallys. What should I ask for and what shoud I beware of?

 

Anything after the early 99's is fine. The early 99's are the bastard child of the Superduty 7.3... Nothing wrong with them persay, but just lots of little things at the parts stores that will drive you NUTS.

Other then that, get the newest one you can afford, they got better and better as the years went on.
