Default HPOP Reservior

Twice now my HPOP reservior has gone empty on me. Truck wouldn't start so I checked it and there was no oil in there. Filled it back up and it started right up. Then two months later same thing happens again. Can anyone tell me whats going on and why? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I'd bet your LPOP is bad -- I've seen many threads that say the LPOP looses prime and the oil returns to the crank case...draining the HPOP and preventing the truck from starting.

inside the HPOP res there is a ball and seat that prevents bleedback...i bet you have issues there.

There is a seal in the LPOP that goes and allows the oil to bleed down..

otherwise - if you have oil in the valley of the engine or a HUGE oil leak... then its likely the HPOP o-rings

I'm gonna agree with SEA04DMAX, I have seen several trucks with that problem. How fast does it bleed down?
