Question Anyone Experience This???

I'm driving my '00, F-350 down the road when I hear my truck beeping. It has done this three times already. It gives a series of 5 beeps, 5 times then it'll stop. Then my keyless entry won't work for a couple of start ups, and it sounds like my heater/ac fan is still running. Anyone have any ideas on whats going on??? Thanks in advance...

Pretty sure thats the ejection seat misfiring, or you are drastically low on Blinker Fluid...

Wow -- thats a crazy thing... lemme do some looking and see what I can find but

OOOOkay -- I think I found what you need...

It seems like the beeping is an airbag system problem and that likely the GEM going out.

From what I've read, its the General Electric Module -- it has something to do with just about everything that needs power to operate (pw, pl, pm, radio, airbags, etc.).

Some say the connection at the firewall sometimes can get water in the connector to cause the electrical gremlins, but it seems with the certain amount of beeping and such, that it is trying to tell you something - so likely is a problem with a system tha it has something to do with like the airbags.

any CEL's?

Nope, no CEL's. I don't think my truck is eligable for this recall, it's a 2000, F-350. Would be nice if it did qualify. Thanks for your research...

No problem -- but it still maybe the GEM -- I did some reading that said it wouldn't always set a CEL -- but the most notable thing was the set number of beeps...

I had some of the same problems in a 00' also, except I didn't have the beeps. It turned out to be that the windshield was leaking & dripping onto the PCM. Replaced windshield, cleaned contacts on all wire connections & problems went away. Hope yours is simple.
