Default heads coming off

I am going to go ahead and pull the heads to see what is the problem with my truck ive got alot of compression coming out of my degass bottle and still leaking oil in i believe # 7 combustion chamber. Is it worth it to put the head studs on it? Also if i so happend to mess a injector, what injectors should i get? I have stage two singles right now and dont like them due to the fact i haft to keep a chip on it. Anything else i should do while it is apart? Thanks

If the head is removed I would install studs.

Slow down there pumpkin...

Compression check first. You dont know what your problem is right now, why would you start off by pulling the head, no going back then.

After that I would pull the injectors and pressurize the coolant system and check your injector cups...

If that doesnt give you an answer then go from there.

As far as injectors go, if your going to stay modded your going to have to keep a chip in it, or send your PCM to someone to flash a single shot tune on to it. Anything performance wise is going to be a single shot injector, needing custom programing to run properly.

If you pull the heads then yes, ARP or H-11 headstuds for sure.

Keep in mind you have PMR's and should limit your HP to 400-425...

i am going to pressure test and compression, my gut feel is head gasket, due to the fact that it looks like about a inch of it is hangin out and its right on # 7 but i will check first. Also i will prolly stay with the singles, is there a better injector out there im not looking for over the wall. And my i have solid rods in my truck, had the motor buile 50 k ago but didnt do heads because they only had 50 k on them at the time of my motor build.

Confused... You had your motor built, but you didnt do the heads? Meaning they did not come off or you did not have new valves, guides and such?

Is there a better injector? Depends on what you have now... Stage 2's could mean about 8 different things. Who built them? What CC are they? What nozzle is on them?

120hp injectors tells me nothing, or your tuner. Need to find out what size they are. I know I sound like a broken record but a 160cc injector with a stock nozzle will run and tune completely different then a 160cc injector with a 100% nozzle.

Everything changes, PW, Duty cycle, Timing, HPO pressures...

I would look at a 38R or a H2e next. When you put it back together get some studs.
