can someone please tell me what this code is indicating. P0741 TCC Circuit Performance

 

P0741=Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off
i found this. ^
hows the shifting and what not?
how hard do u drive it?
any upgrades?
check any trans sensors idk if theres many on these trucks but start there.
Id also check ur fluid and make sure its not burnt and theres plenty in there.

 

it shifts fine but it slips while in 3rd and 4th, the rpm's jump a few hundred then go right back down. once or twice a week the OD light will start flashing.
i dont drive hard at all, actually im pretty sure my grandpa drives harder then i do
i dont have any upgrades yet.
any idea what sensors i could check?
fluid is good i changes it like 300 miles ago

 

Sounds like you might be getting ready to replace the trans... How many miles on the truck?

Check the rear speed sensor and clean it, check the plug that goes into the trans on the drivers side and clean it.

Use Dielectric grease on all electrical fittings and go from there.

 

it has 160k. i will check the sensors and plugs tonight. also i just got autoenginuity in the mail today. i havent had a chance to check it out yet but can i run a test on the transmission with that.
