02' Stroke lopes bad when reversing?

02' Stroke lopes bad when reversing?
We have a 2002 Ford F-250 PS Auto. When it is cold in the morning and you go to back up it lopes really bad, it will do that a few times then runs normal. It idles fine however it is just happens when you apply fuel in reverse only. I have no idea what would cause it to do this any ideas would be greatly appriciated, Thanks, Chad.
