I was wondering if it is safe and if it benifits a PSD to run 2-STROKE in fuel? or a blend PS/2stroke? I know it helps my cummins truck about 1.6mpg on average. I figured it would not hurt anything but, I wanted to check before I screw anything up.

I'm not sure honestly. But I wouldn't. I know it'll gum up and wreak havoc on plungers and springs in Cat and International heavy duty engine, I'd imagine it'll do the same to ours.

It's not worth it. I did the same thing for about 3 months and it didn't help at all, just makes the truck smoke blue. Clogged my fuel filter faster. I try'd it for the same reason two of my buddies have cummins an it made a good difference. But it doesn't help on the power stroke.

 

yes it will help a lot on a cummins, powerstrokes have a totally different set up then a cummins, just stick to regular additive and call it good

 

I've had the same primary 2um fuel filter on my commonrail for almost three years now running a 2-1 mix of WMO and 2-stroke at 60-1 treat ratio. You have serious fuel issues unrelated to 2-stroke if your filter clogs in 3 months.

 

I use it at a 1 to 1 ratio. It really does seem to quite down the injectors at idle.I use the walmart brand,supra tech.It is cheap and provides my injectors with lube. No problems so far, Mabey 1 mpg gain.

 

Would that be 1 jug to 1 tank?

well thats the ratio I had when ran it in my cummins.

 

just FYI diesel fuel is a lubricant. the injectors were designed by engineers way smarter than us to run on fuel I would leave it alone. plus fuel filters arent getting any cheeper.
