'00 Excursion pcm help
I just bought a ts chip for my ex and every time I switch programs the truck shuts off. I have been told that due to the pcm that the excursion has with the PATS key that there is no way around the issue.
Is there a way to swap the pcm's from a truck chassis that doesnt use the security key and just get a reflash done on my chip?

The information you are being given is not true. My wife has a Excursion, and a TS Blank. The only issue you should have is a flashing Theft light for the first few minutes after start up. You should have no issues changing tunes at any time.
I got the info straight from ts tech department. Apparently there are three options for computers or pats versions and I happen to have one that is extra sensitive. Ts is shipping me a third attempt chip in hopes tomake it run properly only down side is the new chip looses the high idle and their 140 tune.
Mine never had any issues with a generic TS, but it's in a truck. My reburn will kill the truck in 2 conditions: I take it out of "drag/pull" or "hot street" while the trans is in park. If I'm moving it doesn't do it. I'm usually driving around when switching, so I don't worry about it.
