Having the same problem with my 1999 7.3 PSD. Chugging and smoking bad, smells like Kerosene. I replaced my injector o rings last summer and glow plugs and glow plug relay.... I'm going to put mine on the Modus as soon as I can and get a look at it.

Sounds like you broke an injector nozzle and hydrolocked the motor... Not good my friend, not good.
