Default lopey Idle... well kinda

hey guys Im truck shopping and found an 01 with 123,000 miles on it. It runs really good and doesnt miss a beat, but after its been idling for a couple minutes its starts to lope a little not like a lope tune either just really slow down a couple hundred RPM then back up again, you can shut the truck off and it fires right back up no problem, idles fine then starts to lope again. when you rev it up it stops for a couple minutes than does it again. but it doesnt do it at all when the cold high idle is on. what would cause this? is it something I should be scared of??? Thanks BTW it doenst through any codes if that helps at all

sorry we don't all jump when you post. also you telling us it sounds lopey means nothing. can we hear it? no we can't just incase you thought we'd all magically heard this truck. it'd help if you specified an rpm.

Does the truck have a chip? Some chips implement a lope in the tune. If you touch the brake or give it throttle does it rev fine, then settle back into the lope?

I would make a user name on powerstroke .org as well; between both sites you'll find anything you need to know.

Sorry, some of us are not on here 24-7...

Could need an oil change, could have some crap in the IPR... Sounds like it needs an oil change from your discription.
