Hello everyone! new here my first post. so far love the site!

I have a 1999.5 f350, its had every problem u could have with a powerstroke so far but cant complain its a 2800.00 buy. any who here is what ive done so far.
Im still having a slight miss when cold. if i run it a 1/2mile down the street it clears up.

new electric fuel pump (bosch)
rebuild on the fuel bowl
new fuel filter
replaced turbo (used 60,000 miles) with whistle wheel
replaced glow plug relay
rebuild oil/coolant heat exchanger

also replaced CPS and ATS
scaned with a snap on scaner.
passed buzz test
passed con. test
readed 2100psi hpop pressure

these are the codes i still have
p0267
p1298
p0541

I believe i have replace the inj. harness but just wanted any ones thoughts or opinions on the issue just incase im overlooking some thing.

p0267 = Low Side Short To Battery Injector Circuit No. 2

p1298 = IDM Fault

p0541 = Air Intake Heater Control Circuit Low

Also, you should allow a diesel motor to warm up some before running. They run so much better once they've warmed up. I let mine sit around 10 minutes before leaving for school as it's quite a drive with loads of steep hills.

If you have to buy an idm I was serching for prices and the dealership price was 1800, pepboys autozone checker 655(rebuilt), auto computer exchange 139 (rebuilt), can't say that this is the best idea haven't bought one yet. just listing prices not quality check around to make sure there not a waste of money

thank you for the fast reply.. the IDM code was the one tripin me up cause i wasnt sure if it was actually the IDM or another under lying issue not sure how to trouble shoot that one yet.
cause once warm the truck idles and runs great..... but it seems like if i start it and let it sit the for any amount of time it dosent go away untill driven.
thanks for the info on idm prices!

Don't rush out and buy one may not be your problem some of the people I have talked to said that their truck did fine until it warmed up then it started to run like crap they replaced the idm and problem solved. your case is opposite. keep looking alot of top notch guys on this site they will evetually get you threw.

They run like crap when the oil is cold since it uses the oil to fire the injectors. I would just let it warm up a bit. They are ball less until they get some heat

Ok just an update removed the idm and did a ohm test through the pins t the injectors found an open line to injector 3. Which expanlains p0267 low voltage. Also did an ohm test to the harness under the valve cover it checked out ok.. So now it's down to the idm harness or the injector...... Bummer is I've read that this kills the idm.. But it's still running so..?

Ok maybe a little help on this... tested all the wiring got it narrowed down to #3 injector so i pull the injector out to take a look at it and test with the multimeter, only to find coolant dripping in the injector tube along with oil and fuel. injector cups? head gasket?
ive had no run issues with the truck once warm and no smoke once warm. any thoughts?

powerstroke 7.3 slight miss cold-picture-007.jpg here is a few pics of the injector. seems like the oring is not that great and some pitting on the copper sealing washer. also took an extra coolcnt cap and installed a schrader valve and pressuresd coolant to 18 psi seem to drip faster but cant see from where

If coolant is getting into your oil, I'd assume that's a head gasket. Check them for any cracks.
