what are some must haves
so yall im coming from the 6.0 world where certain things have to be done to keep the truck from going boom when u do anyhting to add power.
im in an 03 so i know if i wanna go over 400hp im gunna have to swap the rods.
now as for head studs how high can i go with power before i run the risk of blown a HG (i realize alot comes down to my driving style but im just looking for a round about number)
i know the 7.3 has been known to have leaking HPOPs so im guessing i will wanna swap that if and when it goes out or when i upgrade the injectors.
those are the few things that i know of so is there anything else i need to start looking at as a good prevention measure

your common gauges, boost, egt, and trans, and for the head gasket, i haven't had one problem in 208k you can go up to about 45 psi of boost on stock studs, some guys re-torque them and get 50 but i wouldn't push it... then yeah if you want over 400 you will have to swap to some forged rods or billet rods if you are gonna get way crazy, what kind of horsepower range you wanting?

I'm looking for a reliable 350 to 400 to start then when its time for injectors I'd like to set the truck up for 500 or so to the wheels...
Also idk what can be achieved with the basics in my 6.0 and intake exhaust and tuning can put u way up their in hp numbers so my other question is what kinda power can I make with a mild race tune exhaust and intake
