I have a banks six gun programer on my 99 7.3 powerstroke. it dont make any smoke. can i put a ts chhip on the truck and not have to take the banks programmer off it. i want the truck to smoke a little but not all the time any advice?

 

Why would you want to keep the six gun on there?

You can't use a programmer on top of a chip. But the chip is going to give you a lot more power.

i want the programer because that tells me boost and egt. and i want to beable to make smoke when some little foregn rice burner pisses me off . i know what smoke is i dont want to do it all the time.

 

I can set you up with a chip and set of factory matched gauges for a very reasonable cost. Then you would have everything your looking for.

How much is a resenable cost. and would i have to make any other mods to handle the 140 hp setting on a ts chip

 

depends on how strong your hpop is ... what year is your truck?

 

i have a 1999 f250. what is hpop

 

HPOP= High Pressure Oil Pump

These trucks have 2 oil pumps. The HPOP is used to open the fuel injectors. Typically, the higher horsepower tunes put the pump under more stress to keep the injectors flowing.
