Default I need help!!!

I have a 2002 Ford 4x4 with a 7.3, I just had a new motor installed two weeks ago and I went out to my truck to drive to redbox and it just turned over, no start. At first I thought it as just a cam position sensor, so I spent 23 dollars on one installed it, and still no start. I don't know what to do and I don't really have the money right now to take it to get fixed, so if you have any ideas I would like to hear them.

I called them, the said it was probably the sensor, I'm at college and I had this done at home. They told me to have it towed back and I have no clue how much it would cost to have it towed 150 miles. Any guess?

yeah no doubt, if their worth a darn they'll take some responsibility to give you a hand. Otherwise if they shaft ya, ask around locally bound to be some honest folks that run a decent shop. also have you tried starting it with any other variables, how old are the batteries, did you drain em when you tried turning it over. did you replace cam? or crank? correct me if i'm wrong other suggesters, but try replacing the crank positioning sensor as well. first though, feel out the shop that worked on you last, the worst they can do is say no, but maybe they'll meet you halfway on tow price.

sound dumb but check and make sure there is enough oil in it, then look at the top of the motor, the is a high pressure oil pump in the top front of the motor( rectangular thing in front) look around it for any unpluged sensors, the comp needs to sens high oil pressure to allow the injectors to open for start and run, check the two relays ontop of motor and make sure they hooked up the power lead wire to them, its a big thick black wire with a red strip on it if i remember correct, if its under like 70* out at night or truck was sitting it might not wanna start without the glow plug relay comming on.. u can also take the sensor off the hpop (top front of motor again) and look down in there to c if there is any oil in the pump,if not thats a prob, check to c if gages and dummy lights are coming on when key is turned forward to c if comp is comming on. good luck my friend, dont know if anything will help ya,but its a start, keep me posted please,, keep it puffing,,, puff puff pass...

Are you getting any smoke out of the tail pipe when cranking on it?

Check your oil, then check the HPO res (High Pressure Oil Reservoir) and make sure it is full to the top.

Sounds to me like some "gunk" is stuck in the IPR (Injector Pressure Regulator). It happens from time to time in "new" motors... Some sealant will break free and the orifice is so small on the IPR it doesnt take much...

I'll check the HPO res after I get back from class, and I already checked all the wiring, everything seems fine but I was thinking about replacing the harness because it seems pretty worn, but I can't find any wire showing that shouldn't. I was reading up on it and I was thinking about my ICM, I just had it replaced with the motor, maybe a wire going to or from it is messed up or worn off

"PCM" or "IDM" but there is no ICM...

You might check to make sure you tightend the main connector where it goes over the valve cover, that sometimes gets missed...
