Default 7.3 with no power

Friend of mine has a Excursion with the 7.3 PS. Was just talking to him and he said the other day while driving it started making a loud clicking noise then just shut down. He tried to turn it over one time and said it started to put now wont even crank. Also mentioned that while he was trying to turn it over that it was making a suckign sound like a bad vacuum leak.
I told him it sounded like a bent or broken valve. But when he told me about the sucking sound I thought i could be a cracked head?
I also referred him to this site so he maybe here really quick to see whats up with it. COuld save not only the time but the hassle of taking it to a mechanic and the money envolved.

Anyone have any ideas?

Need to run some tests... Could be any number of things, but if it will not crank then that sounds like a broken injector nozzle, blown head gasket, bend or broken valves, rocker or pushrod...

Something is hydrolocked or air locked...

My friend emailed me this morning. Guess he took it in.. Found out the fuel pump itself imploded. ( WEIRD) had metal chunkes in the fuel line, Fuel filter caught the rest of it. Thank god for Fuel filters!! 3 injecters went to ****. Even though the code said only one went. So he is going to replace those 3. Maybe all of them. The whole Fuel line and filters. Ill let ya all know how it goes.
