Default My 2001 7.3 Just up and died while I was driving

hey guys...

I have a 2001 f350 7.3 with about 294,000... Anyway.. I was driving home this morning and the truck just dies on me..no hesitation, no putt putting, just dies... What in the world happened?

It has been running rough in the mornings for a while now, but I just assumed it was the injector that I knew was crapping out on it...after about 10 mins of driving it smooths out and works like a charm.

I want to say it was a bit week for the last few days, but then again..shes old so I dont hit it too hard anymore, but I do want to say shes been a bit slugish...so again I just dont know.

She simply will not re start and I dont know what to do... ive read something about if the tach registers something then its not the CPS, but maybe someone here can clarify it is a 2001, so.... any info will really help...oh the bowl is full of fuel so its not a shortage of that, so.... ok.... please help!!!

Thanks again guys!!

its almost has to be the CPS check and see if the tach is doing anything while cranking on it then let us know and we will point you in the right direction from there
