Default Solve My Mystery Problem with my 2001 F250 win a prize

Ok...details

2001 F250 4wd Auto supercab shortbed Auto tranny 3.73 gears 71,000 miles

List of things recently fixed

1.new transmission less than 5,000 miles
2.New IH up-pipes
3.All new intercooler boots with Riff Raff inserts in intake for added strength and clamps
4.High pressure Oil crossover
5.terminator modd done on used pump
6.Injectors rebuilt with rosewood kit
7.New Map sensor/new ICP+IPR sensor/new exhuast back pressure sensor
8.Riff raff regulated return with verifed 67 PSI fuel pressure
9.New throttle pedal assembly
10.ICP-IPR pigtails are new

Injectors all pass buzz and contribution test

I checked both heads with hand hydrualic pump and they would get up over 3000 psi and slowly bleed down to 1000 psi and hold there hydrostatic test

My plumgers and barrels looked new and my poppet wear was 1-1.5 thousandths below factory new spec...

Blowby is normal no chugging smoke CCV deleted out the back

I have a straight piped exhuast no muffler or kitty

I dead shorted the IPR last night after putting HPOP back on and achieved 3160 PSI with truck at idel in park

MY ICP with 125 tune is like 1900-2000 PSI WOT sustained

My boost at 80 econo is 21-22 PSI

I did blow off a boot last night while testing

None of these things has fixed my truck

I still get 10-13 mpg and throttle response and torque and acceleration are ****

truck blows alot of smoke in tunes

OK I have read several theads and the ford manual about low ICP

Do I have an aeration problem

WORN HPOP OR CRACKED OIL PICKUP?

ANYONE WORKED ON OR HAD THIS HAPPEN

I plan on pulling out the LPOP this weekend and replacing becuase IF this is the LPOP fine

If not I have to pull the motor for the pickup tube

anyone have any thoughts on this ????

HEEEELLLLLPPPP

this has been an ongoing problem for 3 years with my truck progressively getting worse!

Have you checked the turbo? Have you checked for boost leaks?

OK my turbo is fine no play and it spins foreever after truck is shut off NO boost leaks except for the one when the boot BLEW off last night while hammering on it testing the HPOP pressure,,,,

with chip on 80 boost was in the 21-23 psi range dp tuner said it should be closer to 28 psi...

like i said 3160 psi at idle on my hpop with IPR 100% closed

when I am at wot the ICP is like 2000 on the road

I ordered a new LPOP installing this weekend ....eliminating on more link in the chain of crappiness I call ford

Something to add maybe it means something maybe not

My water temps stay under 180 and my oil like 190

I have changed the thermy and it did not help things

I used to run 195 water and 205 oil now not so much

No heat/ no power/poor fuel mileage /= ? ?

Makes no sense why ICP is so low at wot with a new IPR and IPC sensor I am getting amsoil out of my truck it is too thin and shouldn't be used I am one of many who fell for its marketing gimmick!

delo or rotella is plenty fine!

Hows the waste gate actuator? I am not making a statement. just asking questions. Have you upgraded your Turbo? What tuner manufacturer are you using? Any trouble Codes? did you change or modify the Intake? Did you do a compression test?

Did you test your injectors or get them bench flowed after you built them? 1000* EGT sounds like lack of fuel, but then you getting smoke, which means too much fuel...

How did you check for boost leaks?

I did not check for boost leaks after installing new boots 9 lbs of torque and hairspray...

I will fix boot tonight and use my boost leak checker and set it to 15 psi ...the CCV is deleted so no worries about pressurizing the crankcase...

I am getting the amsoil out of my truck I think it's complete **** and adding to my HPOP/LPOP issues it is thin at room temperature let alone at 205!

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

This thing is getting fuel but I may have issues on some cylinders not ruling it out I know my injectors are good oil side after I did the hydrostatic test I hit 3000 with a tiny hand pump and then the pressure bled down at like 100 psi every few seconds until it slowed at 2000 and stopped completely to hold at 1000 psi which I was told by several people is normal....My HPOP puts out way more volume than the hand pump so I know that's not the issue could they be screwed up on the fuel side maybe ...

My main goal is to get as close to 3000 psi with my tuner on as I can then i know I have good ICP then once I have the ICP right then if I have to pull the injectors and have the gone thru to check my work fine they can be pulled and gone thru without wasting any orings so I'm told only 3,000 on them ...the guy I know has a flow bench to test 4 at a time he can check bleed down on the oil side and fuel operation nozzles ect in the flow bench

I just don't want to go there until the ICP is right and honestly the truck runs the same as it did before the injector rebuilr except lower temps I'm not dismissing anything at this point but I know my ICP is way LOW...fix that first!

I will check the boost tonight I will try and run it up to 20 psi and listen for leaks!

Honestly I wish i had had just paid someone to rebuild and flow em at the same time ...500 is what most rebuilds charge to overhual and flow bench with repairs being extra if needed to get the set balenced!
