Default Know how it is

Well I bought an ICM from the guy I bought the engine from, installed it this morning and nothing, no smoke out the tailpipe, same deal. Had to have it towed again. So I guess my next move is to see if I can get the PCM from him next? Frustrating as all get out. If you could give me a call at your convenience that would be great. I have to be to work by 7pm. Thanks for all your help Joe, I really appreciate it...Greg

Well, when I get a chance we can test the truck again and see if the IDM codes come back up... It could be the PCM, but I doubt it.

You dont have a chip on the truck do you? I never thought to look when I was there.

no but at one point I used my buddies Superchips flashpaq tuner, I'm pretty sure I had him put back the stock settings. That was the code reader I had.

... na, your issues COULD have been caused by a loose chip in the PCM... COULD...

Tried to call ya a couple of times, left you a message, was wondering if we could hook up in the next couple days, whenever is best for you. Hate bothering you, I know you gotta be busy. Haven't been able to get a hold of that PCM just to try and see. But I did change out the engine harness and no change, but I noticed that the sensor on the oil regulator was loose, able to wiggle side to side and the one on my old engine is solid. I'm sure that's not good but don't know if that could be the source. Just wanted to mention it. If you could give me a call, whenever would be great. Thanks again Joe.

what do you think about the loose sensor on the oil pressure regulator? could that be a problem?

I doubt it, it would not cause a no start issue. But you could have debris in the IPR so try swaping it out with the one in your spare motor...
