Default FRP Shim?

Will a shim in my 2000 really help? I have 238/100 injectors with Swamps tunes.

Do you have a fuel system at all? Or a fuel pressure gauge?

A FPR shim will not give you any HP, will not make a truck that is dropping pressure magically hold pressure. With 238/100 I would be looking at a fuel pressure gauge min...

I'm waiting to get my adapter plug so i can check to see what my fuel pressure is. Which is going to be here today.

I checked my fuel filter again yesterday, and I have some brownish metallic sutff on top of the filter. Any thoughts on what it might be?

With what I was talking about with you and what my truck is doing, do you think it is a fuel issues?

Ok so checked my fuel pressure tonight. 60psi with key on engine off, 56psi at idle and about 52-54psi when driving normal. If I really get on it it will drop to about 50psi. That is in settings 1-3. In setting 4 it drops more to around 42-44psi and doesn't really come back up till I back out of it. 5 & 6 settings are hard driveability so I don't use them. Is this normal pressure?

I did the shim mod about a month ago and I didn't notice much if any improvement, MAYBE some throttle response improvement but it might of been in my head, I ended up taking it back out because the next day after the mod and driving it about 50 miles my fuel bowl gasket blew out (the filter hadn't been recently replaced and had around 3000 miles on it with no leaking problems so I assume it was on tightly and correctly) now I realize that it could of been a coincidence and the mod may have had nothing to do with blowing the gasket out but in my mind the reward definitely wasn't worth headache of the roadside repair and loss of fuel, my day only got worse from there, after getting a friend to go get me a new filter I didn't realize how much fuel I had lost but I was sure I had at least a gallon or two to get me to a fuel station that was no more than a mile away......WRONG! and yes I admit I am a moron for not having that friend get a couple of gallons of fuel when he picked up the filter, so in MY case if this mod did in fact help blow out the gasket this .000001 cent BB could of indirectly cost me a couple of thousands of dollars in injectors by leading me down a road to stupidville and not putting more fuel in even though the BB wouldn't of directly ruined the injectors. I would definitely take the advice about the fuel pressure gauge and you may find out that you don't even need to do the mod.

That sucks man, I stayed away from the shim. Just waitin on the final parts to show up @ Sinster for the RR fuel bowl delete kit. I'm droppin fuel pressure pretty bad when i stomp on it and hold it. Going to see if the RR kit fixes this. If not i'll try a new pump.

Its a feel good mod if anything. Will NOT give you more HP, and if you did not check the pressure after you could have been running 100psi+, which is why your fuel bowl lid had issues.

Why would that matter? Just asking...

RR will not help much if anything. Need to do the intank and pre pump mods, then a fuel system from there up... The stock pump (or a new "stock" pump) is enough for 250/100

I got the pre-pump/ intank mods done. Still seein a drop in fuel pressure. If I stand on it, it will drop to around 25 psi and then come up to around 50 psi till I let off. When idling its around 60 psi, normal driving is about 58-60 psi. Soon it will all be takin care of. Might throw a new stock pump in when I do the RR and send the injectors out.

Oh and glad i didn't make it down 2 weekends ago, I came down with pneumonia and have been sick for the past week and still kinda sick. Still would like to make it down there sometime (when our time frames work out better) if your still willing to.
