Default "Overhead computer"

So I have a 2000 F350 Lariat, 4x4, Superduty. The other day the.....not sure what you really call it but I call it the "overhead computer" the one that has the outside temp, avg MPG, and Miles to go before fueling, the compass. It stopped working. Is there anything I can do to check this out? How do I get it off and have a look-see?

Thank you in advance for any and all responses.

Esson

Stopped working altogether or just got dim? They are a bit of a bear to get out, but most times there is a resistor that breaks in them causing them to get very dim...

The plastic cover is a PIA to get off. I cant recall how many screws are in it, NONE are "hidden" but they are in the little cubbys. Then you just have to pull it off.

Might check all the fuses, not sure what one powers the overhead, but its in the owners manual.
