Fuel Bowl Delete
I have heard of the fuel bowl delete and was wondering if it was worth it or where the kit can be found, and I have found a kit that splits the fuel line to feed each head seperatly and was wondering what you all thought of that?

The fuel bowl delete is a bad idea unless you have a pre pump filter installed. Also I wouldn't really do a fuel bowl delete unless your doing a Regulated Return kit. A good kit to look at is the ITP or Sinster Diesel RR kit.

OK thanks what about the kit that splits the fuel line and feeds each head separately?
|
Haven't seen that, who makes it?
|
Heres the link to where I found it hopefully it works Riffraff Diesel: Fuel Rail Crossover I also found a hose made to balance the oil pressure between the heads. Does any of these parts seem worth it?

Its a nice set up, will not add any performance, just help quite the idle a bit if you have cackle issues...
Its no fuel system, but a nice part none the less. |
the oil cross over will help out with idle noise and also performance because from the factory the oil pressure is only being read from one oil rail. when you link the two together your getting a more accurate reading of the pressures in the rails and your not getting all the pressure drop so in turn the icp sensor is getting a more accurate reading which in turn will allow for more pressure to be created by your tuner and also doesnt make your pump work as hard to keep up. if that makes sence i put it on mine and i was able to monitor the pressures and there wasnt as much fluxuation and for $40 or $50 bucks it cant hurt

The HPO X over also does nothing for performance... It amounts to an engineered oil leak... I have one, and if it ever leaks again it will go in the trash and the plugs back in. Did nothing. :tu: |
oops thats what i get for reading too fast through stuff oh well but it did help level out the pressures on my truck, every engine is diffrent and react to mods diffrently.
|
Thanks for your input guys I was asking about both I think. I have been just looking for some parts to improve my truck. I think my next step is a set of injectors but I was looking for less expensive mods before I went that far.
