slow cranking 7.3
Hey guys,
I have a 2001 f350 7.3. It has been cranking slower and slower over the last few days and this morning I was lucky it turned on at all it was cranking so slow. I checked out the voltage on the batteries and they checked in at 12v each. I have noticed that the mirror lights were flickering yesterday, very lightly, but was flickering.
I need help guys, im down to my last truck and I need to get this one back up.
Thanks for any and all help
Randolph

id your batteries fail the load test then thats most likley your problem and some new batteries should fix u up
Load test batteries individually first. Then you need to do a starter amp draw test... Just clip amp meter around positive cable to starter and crank engine.. note amp draw..... Most likely you got a battery getting week or cable that is in need of a good cleaning.....

Yes..I think you guys are right... I took both batts in to AZ and they told me one of them was bad... so I bought one and charged the other one, but its still cranking way slower than normal...maybe the second batt is still low?
I will see what it does in the morning.
Thanks again guys

i understand that batteries can be $$$ but if i were you i would go ahead and replace both of them, especially if they're fairly old. sure just replacing one right now might do the truck, but u don't want to be havin this problem again for a while.
just my opinion
