Van came in on the hook, no start. Cranks fine but will not fire! Cheacked with scan tool and found P1212, P0340, P0470, P04780. Cleared the codes and P0470 comes back everytime i do a KOEO test. And now i have aP1283 code after the KOEO test. My ICP pressure is at 234 psi during cranking, any help please!!!

 

I would check the oil level, check the HPO level, Check the duty cycle on the IPR...

Sounds like a bad/stuck IPR... Injectors will not even try and fire until 400psi.

Quick easy try is to unplug the ICP sensor, it might fire with 230psi, but I doubt it.

 

I've never worked on one before, so i'm just going by what i've been reading. LOL

so i have the IPR out and the plug in is green as can be!!! It looks terrible. But i just need to get the new one. Oil resivour was full, and everything else checked out ok!

 

Put in a new IPR and WA LA!! Fixed1 THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP!!

 

what is the ipr cause my friends truck is doing the same damn thing. im new to the 7.3. im used to cummins and all the abreviations are killing me.
