Can i just turn the doghouse around and run 6 or 8 feet of heaterhouse and then run it into my exhaust?

 

That would be fine, you just have to put the bung on a 45* angle to the exhaust. So that the CCV is "pulled" out of the tube. Look at the factory set up in the intake, its called ventura effect.

 

Don't do it! I've been reading multiple opinions on this, and the venturi effect works at idle and slightly above, but at cruising speed, the exhaust back pressure overcomes the venturi effect and you could possibly push pressure INTO the motor. The way I did it was just build a catch-can with a filter on top.

 

I cant see how back pressure can become an issue if you do it correctly and down stream of the down pipe???

 

They also build a whole kit to do this,I've run it for years on my racecars.Look at summit or jegs anything like that.Your local autoparts can get you a oneway valve and then go to the hardware for a piece of pipe and cut the required 45 degree on one end and you will have the same kit as mentioned.Older chysler products used these valves for a long time so finding it won.t be an issue.

i do not see at all how the exhaust could go BACKWARDS into the tube and into the crank case if the bung is placed at an angle...

 

i think the people that say it doesnt work maybe put the bung in backwards causing exhaust to run in to it and not help push it out the exit end of the exhaust

No, heater hose is not oil resistant and will decompose pretty quickly. Use hydraulic or fuel-rated line.
