inspected the icp sensor today and found male and female connectors full of oil, possible false readings but the local carquest told they were on backorder.Bummer,to late to call anyone else tonight.Found a couple online but they were 20 bucks more than my cost plus shipping.

So you have ICP (as far as the sensor says).

No white smoke during crank means no fuel or no injector command. Can you hear the injectors clicking during crank (you WILL hear them if they are being commanded)?

Ummm, not sure, didn,t really hear them but could be mistaken.

Well I went out this morning with the wife to listen for the injectors while cranking and the dam thing started.Like usual it really searched for a idle until you pick the throttle up a bit.I can hear the pump running and the fuel bowl sounds like it is filling.Shouldn't it be pressureized at all times? It is 60 degrees here in mich but won't be in a few months.I checked fuel pressure at the pump a couple of weeks ago and it was at the high side.Any more suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm out of ideas since diagnosing things without actually being there is nearly impossible.

At this point, you're probably but my hands are tied.

Well I'm at a loss also,so many idea;s with no results,I do appreciate everyones time and effort,I really want to put injectors in it but the cost of them would send me over the deap end if it did not fix it.PHP,if and when I get this pig right would like to have you build me a chip so keep that in mind.If you get any brainstorms let me know.Again thanks

I know the batteries are SUPPOSED to be new. But is there a way to be SURE that they're not draining too low for the PCM to fire the injectors? Maybe a bad starter? If it's intermittent like that it's got to be something related to voltage or oil...

That's my thought, too.

I have fixed MANY starting problems by simply using a digital multimeter set on the min/max function and looking for voltage below 10.8V at the batteries during cranking. I say 10.8 volts because the IDM requires around 10.3-10.7 volts to even command an injection event and there are voltage drops throughout the system that will give an actual IDM/PCM voltage of less than battery voltage.
