There is no reason to ever open up the HPO system... EVER.

If your IPR gets plugged, the truck will not start, look at it then. Otherwise, change your oil like every other person and enjoy the truck.

There are no sediments, that is the point of the oil filter... If you have sediments in the HPOR you have bigger issues...

Here is a picture of the screen on my truck when the motor was blown, bearing material thruout, and the truck was still running...

#1 I change my oil prob more than most,I do not beleive in long intervals between.
#2 OIL filters keep the big stuff out and there will still be some stuff that gets by.I have torn down many,many engines down in my career so I truly beleive this,different oils have different sediments.

If you're going to do that, then why stop there? Pull your oil pan and clean the sediments out of the bottom. IMO, if you're "cleaning" sediment out of your HPO reservoir, you're also loosening them up, IF they are there. And they'll end up in your injectors... Good luck with that...
