exhaust dumped over back axle...??

Default exhaust dumped over back axle...??

i have a 4 to 5 inch exhaust and im tired of how small it looks from behind. i have seen pictures of exhaust dumped over the back axle and im thinking about doing this. i was wandering if anyone has pics or if anyone knows anyone who has done this..

I have seen lots of trucks done that way. Keep in mind your tail gate will be a real PIA to keep clean. Your not pushing that much fuel right now but if you step up, it will suck.

I have to wax my tailgate every time I wash the truck, just to keep up with the soot and oil stains.

ya i figured that but i think it would be worth it.. im thinking i might if im able do it this weekend or at least fabricate the exhaust. im gonna go to a 5inch straight....

mine is dumped right behind the cab a couple feet infront of the rear tire because fo my longbed.

I did it for a short time. I hated it. Soot gets everywhere,also the bed acts like a resonator, gets really loud in the cab.

Its called centerdump exhaust it is big out in cali.


I know its not a ford, but It gives you an idea.

That is dumped at the rear bumper.

Just get a larger tip. It will be easier to keep clean, and it won't be as loud. Since it don't have anything to echo off of.
