Default Glow Plugs....

ok i have a 2000 7.3L with 255k seems to take longer to start than my dads with over 200k. especailly when its cold. im thinkin of changen the glow plugs out but i see other people talking about changin the glow plug relay. were is that relay? anybody know how hard it is to change all glow plugs an if there is a certain type of G.P anybody would recommend using. thanks

Check the relay first... Top of the motor, right above the passenger side oil rail. The one furthest back is the Glow Plug relay. Greg has a great picture of the top of the motor... Need to snag that one from him.

Check the big terminals the passanger side one should be hot all the time, the drivers side should be hot for up to 2 minutes after the key is turned on.
