Default belt tensioner broke?

'99 f350 ps
lost a couple of ribs on the belt and went to put a new one on and notice that the tensioner didn't line up with the other pulleys and it looked like it was out of its housing. tried pushing back in but couldn't get it all the way in. does the tensioner need to be replaced or can it be fixed? thanks!

Replaced... At least you noticed it now, not having it break on the road...
