How can I tell if my truck had remote keyless entry installed?

When I bought it used, there were no remote fobs included, so I assumed it was not installed.

A friend is installing a remote starter for me and he's got it all done, but is having a problem with the power locks circuits. Apparently, if there was keyless entry installed there is a relay somewhere.

Do you guys know where this relay might be? Or is there some other way to tell if it was factory installed?

I assume I can get a printout from my local dealer, with the VIN, but he's not that helpful, and he's also closed today.

unless its an XL model it should have come with keyless entry... although, im sure you could order a truck without the keyless....

 

Yeah, I'm going to go to the local dealership and get a list for this truck. I think that's the only way to know for sure what was installed.

meanwhile we've solved the problem and got our own keyless entry system, along with the remote start all installed and working.
