I have a 2000 f350 with the 7.3 my four wheel drive is not working. i changed my main bearing hub seals and new vacuum lines and have good suction. but with the front drive line locked into four wheel my inter axle still turns. does anyone know much about the front gears?

My Civic has full-time hubs up frontAnd free-spin hubs out back. Haven't had much trouble with it other than a rabbit ate an ABS wire. Anyway, good luck with your Ford, Redneckunleased.

check the vacuum hoses to the hubs. I use my 4wd a lot.... I always know when the hoses need replaced because when the hoses leak my a/c doesn't blow as cold.
It is a easy and inexpensive repair.
