Maybe the driver motor or regulator went out

Most times its the switch, same with the power mirrors... People leave there windows open in the rain and snow, water gets in the switch over time and the switch's get corrosion in them...

Quite common.

I had a gal bring a dodge durango over one day, no money wanted something for nothing...

I pulled the switch, took it apart carefully and clean/sanded the contacts... Thats been about a year now and its still working.

Said thanks and left... guess she got what she wanted...LOL

Look at the boot that goes inbetween the door and the body of the truck the wires on the fords and alot of vehicles tend to get brittle and bust in there just pull the boot back and pull on the wires seperatly or some times you can see the broken wire there. Most of the times this is where the problem is. As far a jumping the wires I dont remember which does which without a wiring diagram. The window switches switch power and ground to make the motor either go up or down. So be carful with jumping wires you will pop fuses.
