Default oil pressure sending unit

where is a good place to put the sending unit for aftermarket oil pressure gauge? i want to keep stock gauge functioning. local napa owner told me to check for a plug somewhere under the truck to pop out and thread the unit in?

On the oil cooler ***, just above the oil filter... There is also a port, just above that and to the back on the block... Both are good locations for oil pressure.
