Default Having issues, please help

I had an oil leak when i first bought my truck but i knew that it was just the fitting on the HPOP, but its been a week or so and now there is a new leak somewhere on top toward the front of the engine and its not the fitting anymore, any ideas?

Clean everything really well and start looking. I would bet it is the pump seal, but it could be any number of things all having to do with the HPO pump.

^^ What he said. Wash everything, add dye and re-evaluate.

Did you change ALL the O-Rings on the pump? Theres 3 of them I think that leak pretty commonly.

where is the HPO pump seal located? I looked quickly at my engine today and most of the oil is running to the rear of the engine and running down the bell housing on the tranny, would that still be the HPOP or something else maybe

Wink oil leak problems

check your valve pan gaskets as this is a common site for leakage and seepage. Hope this helps....Bob...

There is only a few places a 7.3 will leak in the valley. The HP Oil Pump, HP Oil Lines and Turbo Pedestal O-Rings. Get some Simple Green and clean up the valley real good. Start her up and see if you can find the leak. I used my camera to find my leak by sicking it down in the valley and taking a few pics...

hey guys i found it, its an oil sensor on the head that has almost a stream of oil coming from it at 2000 RPMs, I haven't taken the sensor out to get a closer look to see whats wrong with it exactly but at least I found it.

There is only one sensor coming out of the head, the ICP sensor. It will run you about $150 from ford, but you can find them cheaper on flebay from time to time...
