what is a good turbo for a 2001 7.3

What are your future plans? What are your HP goals?

You have stage 2 injectors? So I would assume you have 180cc single shots? Drop i turbo wise your only real choice is a GTP-38r. If you get one I would get a 1.15 exhaust housing.

But IMHO a H2e is a better turbo, better kit and its upgradeable...

i have another ? my truck white smokes when at idle i noticed some oil in the turbo houseing. What could this be??

White smoke is most times fuel, but it can be oil. Remove your intake tube and see how much play the turbo has. It should have a very little movement.

If I had to guess the turbo might be shot, but I would have to see it.

if the turbos leakin, it might be getting into the engine makin white smoke.
