Default 2002 7.3L fuel return kits

I keep reading about the kits that convert the fuel system from a 'dead head' system to a 'loop' system. as far as i know (i'm the second owner) my truck has a looped fuel system that appears to be very stock. The truck was lifted and had an intake and exhaust on it (intake was a hack job, I got a kit from AEM and installed it) but had no apparent motor work. everything I've seen seems to say that all 7.3L of this year had a dead head system. is my truck an anomaly, or is somebody making kits that look 100% factory?

I very highly doubt you have anything but the stock fuel system. It feeds one side of head head and returns thru the filter, there is no return for the fuel once its in the heads, hence a dead head system.

ITP Diesel sells the best fuel system on the market for the 7.3, without a doubt.

now I'm confused. tell me if this sounds right:

my truck has a fuel line going into the back of the fuel pump (which is mounted on the inside of the driver's side frame rail underneath the driver's door) that uses one of the plastic quick-disconnect fitting. coming out of the front of the fuel pump is hard line approx. 1-2 inches long that then connects to a flexible line that has blue plastic tubing around it which is permanently attached to hardline that goes up to the fuel filter on top of the engine.

there is a second fuel line, same size as the other one, that runs the length of the driver's side framerail from the fuel tank to the engine. it runs right next to the other fuel line, all the way up to the engine. it appears to be a factory fuel return line.

does any of that make sense?

There is a return line, from the bowl, but not from the heads. Once the fuel gets in the heads there is no way out other then the injectors. This means any air or other has to go that way...
