Ignition Key Dinger
Ok for all of you guys that want that annoying dinger gone. This is for you, It is very simple to disconnect that dinger.
What you do is, locate the black wire with a purple tracer on it. You have to remove the ignition and steering column cover. You will see a black wire with a purple tracer on it. Disconnect that wire that goes to the ignition switch. tape it up and make sure it is not going to touch the ignition switch. Then reassemble the steering column cover and reinstall the ignition switch. Now you can work on your truck with the doors open and the keys in the ignition with no dinger to annoy you.

Ok good,
Thats the one I was thinking of. It is also a problem to brake off that plastic clip and cause your chim to activate with the door shut. But if you pay close attention the light on your dash isnt on so that tells you its the wire or clockspring and not the door ajar. So there are two potinial issues.
