The fuel drain valve is probably the most common fuel leak found on our trucks. It is an easy fix but make sure you replace all three o-rings in the valve. There is a writeup in my sig on the procedure to remove and repair the valve.

contact guzzle for sure on those o-rings, but just for your info FORD does have a kit to repair the drain valve, but i think its around 30-40bucks. comaes with valve and seals. you really just need the seals.

You can also just reverse the 2 o rings. When you take the 4 screws off the shut off valve. Pull the o rings out and put them in with the rounded sides facing out. That fixed the leak in my truck.
Thanks

I had a leak at the fuel drain also and ordered the o-rings, but before they came in I ran two quarts of trans fluid throught a full tank of fuel and have`nt had a drop since. I run some 2 stroke oil also but think the trans fluid swelled the orings back out.

Ive got a fuel leak as well however I changed out the whole water seperator. I still have a leak and when I say leak, its huge! It only does it when its a lil chili out but It needs to get fixed! Where are other places this leak may be coming from? Hell maybe I didnt put the new part in correctly Im not sure. I bought a mirror to try and locate the leak but no luck yet. Any helpful info? Thank you much.

Here is a link on how to replace every o-ring that is on the 99-03 fuel bowls. There are a lot of places that can leak including the fuel lines where they attach to the cylinder heads. Also check the hard line on the passenger's side where it passes through the retension clip close to the turbo pedestal. The clip can rub a hole in the fuel line.
