Anything alarming to look for on one of these trucks?

We're looking at a 2003 F250 reg cab with the 7.3L and California emissions...it was originally purchased in Nevada.

I've heard horror stories about the glow plug/intake heater systems on these trucks being high dollar nightmares to repair....Any truth to that?

Anything else I should be thinking about before buying a 'green' truck?

i have a 2001 f250 7.3 with California's emissions i need to location the glow plug relay if anyone nos where it is wood you give me a call pls 208-670-3590

 

it's not glow plug relay. it's a glow plug control module. it should be around the location of the GPR.

 

In the valley, just above the passanger valve cover. You will see a relay for the intake air heater, and the Glow Plug Control Module...
