Default 7.3 engine change question.

Is it easier to pull the engine and transmission together or engine by it self? It,s 4x4, psd, 6"lift kit,. I have to swap my turbo, oil pan and alternater etc over to the engine that's going in. Any advice is welcomed.
This is my first diesel swap, Is there any gaskets, seals or anything that is best replaced while enginge is out. The enginge going in has 119,00 miles vs 238,000 miles the one coming out. I plan to have the higher milage one rebuilt for mor pulling power. Thanks in advance...tony

Auto or manual?? Manuals are a PITA when going back in the hole. You have to get the input shaft to line up as well as dowel pins. As far as seals, do the rear main and the front timing cover (harmonic balancer), and any hoses/lines that run around the back of the engine.

pulling the engine on fords requires the cab to be lifted off. doing it your self is going to be challenging. like this ------->
