Default A Friend's Truck Upgrades....

I have a friend who has a 2001 F350 w/ 7.3L p-stroke and he wants to know which "Ram-air" intake would be best for his truck, as well as the best oversized 10 ply tire deals out there, etc... He is looking to do quite a few upgrades within the next couple of months but it is a work truck that he hauls some pretty heavy equipment with on a daily basis and wants to get the best hauling performance and mileage he can get... Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated...
Thanks

CFM+ makes a good one! Post in the Request a price quote section on what truck it is, and a price on the CFM, and several vendors will hook you up on a price. You can ask them to do a check on a Banks, AFE, & ATS too!

check out this post. https://www.dieselbombers.com/99-03-...variation.html apparently there are not a lot of Ford guys on this site, but on some of the other sites that have more Ford guys on it they swear by this set up. I have the K&N set up on my truck now, but I'm going to get the 6637 filter and swap it out for the K&N filter

Thanks guys, he wound up going with an Edge w/ attitude, and a Volant Ram air... he seems to like them pretty good... and as far as I know, he has not had any problems...

AFE stage 2 is about the best ones for the 7.3... Edge will work, there are better out there

I appreciate it, he bought an Edge before I had time to suggest anything else...
I guess he can send it back if he winds up with problems, however, he told me that he is not going to turn it up over level 2 so he will not hurt the clutch... at least until he gets a DD clutch...
But thanks for the reponses!!!

if he hasnt had any previous problems with his clutch slipping than its ok to run up to level5.

the edge system will work great for what he is doing.
