7.3 upgrade suggestions
Hello all, I’m new to the 7.3 world and recently picked up a 2000 F250 XLT 4x4 crew cab short bed with 215k miles. The truck already has a cold air intake, 4” straight pipe exhaust, and what looks like about a 4” lift.
I’m looking for suggestions on good 7.3l powerstroke diesel performance upgrades and reliability mods. The truck’s main job will be towing an 8.5x18 enclosed trailer, hauling golf carts to and from the beach, and doing occasional work like hauling mulch and other stuff. It won’t be a daily driver.
From what I’ve been reading, common upgrades for these trucks include tuning, better airflow, gauges for monitoring temps, and fixing common weak points like up-pipe leaks and sensors.
Just curious what upgrades you guys would recommend first for a solid tow rig setup.
