7.3 liter Power
im NOT trying to start a fight or make fun of Ford im just wondering why the 7.3 is not making as much power as the Duramax and Cummins. i know it was desighned before the duramax and has a different fuel system then Cummins but it has the biggest displacement and im sure the fuel system could be reworked and plenty of people it seems like get about 50 PSI of boost after a aftermarket turbo upgrade. there are 2 powerful 7.3 out there i can think of . the GREAT WHITE that ATS built and ZANE's Drag truck that he races against MAD DOG and his FUMMINS but im just asking because there are plenty of cheap powerstrokes out there and just wondering how come none of them make the power of Cummins and Duramax race trucks

im not sure why, just because a truck has more hp/tq than another doesnt mean that it will be faster than one with less or more hp/tq.
im guessing...
modding out a psd is alot more expensive than a cummins or dmax, if i woulda put all the money i have into my psd into a cummins i would have alot more hp than wat im making now(estmt 390hp)
ive ran a dodge(03+) with a lazy larry which made way more than my stock psd with a ts performance chip and we where a very close race, both truck where lifted, big tires, similair body styles)
7.3 powerstrokes are the under dogs when it comes to performance.

The 7.3 is a damn fine motor. It's just a lot more expensive to build. In my opinion its the only one ford had worth building. I think you'll see some big numbers out of Ford guys, but it might take a while. The Cummins and the Duramax are the definite favorites though, you've got that right.
